Mare Island Facilities Major Maintenance Naval Chapel and Admiral's Mansion/Quarters a Improvement
The work generally consists of, but is not limited to: Naval Chapel HUD Grant Base Scope: Envelope Upgrades; Lead abatement (per lead / asbestos report by others); Wall shingle repair / replacement; Wood trim repair / replacement; Front & side wood stair repair; Prep /paint exterior (building permit not required for repainting); Gutter / rain water leader repair incl. leaf guards; Replace / add exterior stair handrails to comply with code; Confirm walkway from street meets slope & cross-slope criteria Quarters A NPS Grant Base Scope:; Rated sheetrock at basement ceiling; Crawlspace access openings; Lead abatement (per lead / asbestos report by others); Patch / match / paint disrupted plaster; Wheelchair lift and landing; Handrails at front porch •Accessible restroom upgrades; Handrails at all stairs; Sleepered raised floor at glassed-in porch; Required accessible signage; Foundation repairs, re-point int. basement masonry; Sill bolting throughout at foundation to first-floor floor framing; Shear transfer clips at framing to sills at foundation; Blocking at first-floor joist bays at support girders; Vertical load upgrades, bolt c-channels to wood girders in basement; Wooden post base and cap connections at basement; Shear walls / foundation at basement line 4.5- coord. with possible first floor shear walls above; Masonry chimney bracing at floor lines, and above roof; Electrical circuit for wheelchair lift; Misc. electrical / plumbing upgrades as required when uncovered by seismic work; Adjust plumbing or furr around at basement ceiling to install sheetrock ceiling; Cap plumbing to unused bathrooms Quarters A HUD Grant Base Scope:; Lead abatement. (per lead / asbestos report by others); Prep /paint exterior, repair wood elements as required; Re-point exterior masonry chimneys at roof as required; Replace existing composition shingle roofing & repair existing sheet metal roofing; Strip and recoat existing sheet metal roofing; Gutter / rainwater leader repair; Disconnect rain water leaders to storm sewer at grade and connect to existing cistern (civil scope)
