291 River Bridge Design-Build Project
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is seeking design-build teams for the 291 River Bridge Design-Build Project in Jackson County, Missouri. The project involves replacement of the northbound Missouri Route 291 bridge over the Missouri River (Liberty Bend Bridge, in service since 1949) and rehabilitation of the southbound bridge, with a program budget of $80M and construction completion targeted by December 2029. Following an RFQ phase that pre-qualified five teams on June 18, 2026, MoDOT will issue the Request for Proposals on July 6, 2026, with proposals due October 30, 2026, and best-value proposer selection by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission on December 2, 2026.
