The Long-Range Transportation Plan for the Missouri Department of Transportation serves as a comprehensive, policy-driven guide for developing the state's transportation system through 2050. The commission received various committee reports, including updates from the audit committee on financial statement audits and future internal audit plans. The legislative committee provided a summary of the recently signed state budget and upcoming legislation. The board received reports regarding pension and financial matters from the MTFC and the Emperor's Board. Additionally, the Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety provided data on traffic fatalities and promoted the annual safety conference. The Director of Transportation provided updates on the ongoing I-70 improvement project, specifically the completion of a bridge, as well as the accelerated replacement of a bridge in St. Joseph and the successful completion of the annual intern conference.
