Description: Durham County seeks a qualified contractor to provide a complete turnkey internal and mechanical repair/rebuild of Cooling Tower #2 at the Durham County Detention Center. The work is intended to restore the equipment to reliable operating condition and, to the greatest extent practicable, restore its original airflow, water distribution, heat-transfer capability, mechanical reliability, corrosion resistance, safe operation, and serviceability. Proposals are due November 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and a mandatory site visit is scheduled for October 20, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
