Description: The RFP seeks a marine retrofit to install battery-electric ferry charging components and mooring systems on the floating dock at the Treasure Island Ferry Terminal in San Francisco. The project will move the float away from areas with heavy sediment accumulation to reduce maintenance dredging and improve ferry operations. WETA says the project is intended to reduce passenger disruption, improve service reliability, and save approximately $21 million over 20 years.
