RFP for DB-140 Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant - Secondary Clarifiers Rehabilitation
The City and County of San Francisco, acting by and through the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, is soliciting proposals from prequalified firms, teams, joint ventures, or other prequalified business entities for competitive Design-Build Contract DB-140 at the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant, rather than a grant program. The work rehabilitates the plant's secondary clarifiers, which separate activated sludge from treated wastewater and return activated sludge to aeration tanks while transferring waste activated sludge to solids-handling facilities. The posting describes sixteen reinforced-concrete circular sedimentation tanks arranged in North and South groups, with associated diffusers, gates, valves, and sludge/scum collection equipment.
