Village of Clyde

The Village of Clyde is holding public hearings to gather comments and recommendations on the goals, concepts, and outcomes of the Village of Clyde Comprehensive Plan Draft, and on the USDA Rural Development Loan/Grant Program to purchase (2) Police vehicles.

The comprehensive plan is for the Village of Clyde, located at 6 South Park Street, Clyde, NY 14433. The main focus is to provide a strategic direction for the village.

The meeting included several resolutions: re-levying unpaid water and sewer amounts from the 2022-2023 fiscal year; authorizing a new lease agreement for a copier; accepting grant funding for the purchase of two Dodge Durangos; authorizing the annual water/sewer and tax collection billing software maintenance contracts; approving vacation time carry-overs for two employees; approving budget journal transfers; accepting the Clerk-Treasurer's report; and approving various payments and budget amendments. Discussions also covered façade improvement grants, the NY Forward Grant, the Savannah Street Faire, and the "Adopt a Park" initiative. Reports were reviewed from the Police Department, Code Enforcement/Zoning, and Engineering departments. The board approved applications for grants related to the WWTP project, Glasgow Street water main replacement, and water treatment plant improvements. A bid for the 2023 Streets Project was accepted, and the purchase of 39 Sodus St was approved. A public hearing for the Glasgow Street project was scheduled.
