Provide the services of an abs-approved ultrasonic thickness testing laboratory to perform ultrasonic thickness testing aboard the vessel as outlined herein. The proposal shall include copies of the hull gauging certificates that have received abs approval, along with the abs approval letters. It is imperative that all abs certificates remain current and valid throughout the entirety of the work specified herein. The contractor shall perform audiogauge readings in the following spaces and in accordance with the specified specifications. Take ultrasonic thickness readings of the sixteen (16) cast steel pipe sections located in the Pump Room (PR), as indicated on the reference drawings MF-H5-049 (R1-R3). See attached file.

There are 4 total bearing replacements associated with this contract (2 Northbound, 2 Southbound). A full bridge closure for each direction will be permissible starting on Friday Night and extending through Sunday. Contractor will be responsible for all traffic control measures associated with the closures.

From Station 99+000 to Station 250+440 dredging will be required to a depth of 35’ MLLW (Datum) plus 1’ allowable over dredge and to a distance of 25 feet outside the channel limits where shoaling occurs along the channel edge within the authorized channel limits. Dredging will be required to a depth of 36’ MLLW (Datum) plus 1’ allowable overdepth within the contract work limits shown on the drawings from station 00+000 to station 250+440, with no side slopes delineated and/or paid for.
