The U.S. Forest Service (Tahoe National Forest) issued a Sources Sought/RFI for the Galloway G-Z Stewardship IRSC seeking industry capability and feedback to support treatment of about 5,127 gross acres to improve forest health, reduce wildfire risk, protect watershed values, and provide wood products. Anticipated work includes timber sale preparation, road reconditioning, timber removal, temporary road construction, and biomass removal; the contract term is expected to be up to 5 years with an estimated 15+ MMBF of commercial timber offered.
