The North Providence School Department's Technology Plan outlines the integration of technology across all educational processes, including curriculum, instruction, assessment, and organizational management. It is structured around six core functions: supporting teaching and learning, managing curriculum and instruction, processing information, supporting communication, administering and managing organizational resources, and managing learning resources. These functions are underpinned by five core components: human resources, equipment and networks, software and materials, facilities and space, and policies and procedures. The plan emphasizes continuous professional development for staff, aiming to enhance learning opportunities, improve student achievement, and foster a technology-rich learning community that prepares students for a global society.

The North Providence School District's strategic plan for 2022-2028 focuses on preparing students for college and careers in a safe, nurturing environment. The plan prioritizes improving core instruction, enhancing school climate and learning environments, and increasing family and community engagement. Key goals include increasing student performance in math, ELA, and science, improving school climate ratings, and boosting student attendance through various initiatives and collaborative efforts.

The K-5 Music Curriculum Standards and Benchmarks are designed to support music instructional staff in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating music curriculum documents and materials. The curriculum emphasizes standards and performance benchmarks by grade level, articulating essential knowledge and skills linked to the school district's strategic plan. The mission is to ensure all students develop the musical knowledge, skills, and concepts to enjoy a lifelong love of music, fostering appreciation, self-confidence, communication, awareness, and a common core of musical knowledge.

The school committee meeting included approval of minutes from a previous meeting. Public comment focused heavily on the school's face mask policy, with several parents expressing concerns about the policy's impact on children's health and well-being. Parents presented data and studies to support their arguments for optional mask-wearing. Additional concerns were raised regarding classroom sizes and the lack of parental access to school orientation.

The school committee meeting included several recognitions. Centerdale Elementary School student Arya Balani was recognized for winning a statewide reading contest. Ritchie Middle School teacher Teresa Connors received a Golden Apple award. North Providence High School students were recognized for their achievements in the Rhode Island TSA State Leadership Conference. The North Providence High School cheerleading squad was also recognized for their accomplishments. Finally, a presentation was given on the Rhode Island Department of Education secondary education regulations.
