The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) for Gorman Learning Center details how state funding is used. The plan is approved annually by the Board of Directors in June. The policy outlines the requirement for Gorman Learning Charter Network to develop an annual strategic plan. This plan should aid the network in achieving its goals and focus, guided by the fundamental principles of GLCN. The Board of Directors, in collaboration with the Executive Director and administrative staff, is responsible for developing the plan. Regular updates on the plan's progress should be presented to the Board. An annual Board meeting should be dedicated to strategic planning, focusing on long-term goals, performance standards, and benchmarks.

The board meeting started with approvals of the agenda and minutes from the previous meeting. Public comment addressed concerns about COVID-19 protocols at the Antelope Valley Resource Center (AVRC), specifically regarding mask mandates and their impact on children. Discussion also included questions about 504 loans and the allocation of funds. The meeting concluded with staff recognitions for a student, a certificated staff member, and a classified staff member.
