The regular monthly meeting included recognition for the December and January Students of the Month and acknowledgement of a donation to Cuba FFA. There was also a discussion and potential approval of the first reading of board policies, a leave of absence, CMHS Trap Shooting Team, and Semi-Annual Closed Session Minutes. The agenda also included a Fire Prevention Presentation and LVC JH Softball/Varsity Football Search. The board discussed reports, requests, and articles, as well as principals' reports, the superintendent's report, and an executive session regarding specific employees. Finally, announcements were made regarding Winter Break and upcoming Teacher Institute and school resumption dates.

The Board of Education of Community Unit School District #3, Fulton County, will hold a Public Hearing to receive public comment on a proposed waiver application and plan for improved student performance and school improvement. If approved, the District would be permitted to apply for a waiver of the non-resident tuition requirement, allowing the waiving of tuition for non-resident students who are the children of full-time District staff.

The Board of Education meeting included discussions and actions on various topics, such as parent concerns regarding a teacher/staff member, approval of September bills, payroll, and financial statements, employment of a game/event custodian, and agreements related to FFA land plot and tax filing for a solar project. The board also approved the purchase of used buses. The Superintendent's report covered principal appreciation, FOIA requests, health and safety information, a tentative levy for 2027, the IASB Conference, "Meet The Superintendent" events, staff recognition, and an IASA compliance update. Additional discussion topics included a trap shooting team/club, the 2025 IASB Resolutions Committee Report, and a joint board meeting. Drake Hanson was recognized for his golf season, and a presentation was given on the District STEM Program.
