This document outlines the Superintendent's goals for the fiscal year 2025-2026, focusing on three strategic pillars. The first goal is to set high academic and behavioral expectations by supporting instructional excellence, implementing an instructional leadership plan, maintaining student attendance, and emphasizing a holistic child approach with mental health services. The second goal aims to foster strong, positive relationships with families, local businesses, and community organizations through public communication, extracurricular engagement, and college/career readiness efforts. The third goal is to align district resources—personnel, facilities, and finances—to meet educational needs while ensuring a safe, efficient, and transparent work and learning environment through regular reviews, budget reporting, and capital project management.

The strategic framework for Doddridge County Schools, outlined in its Core Beliefs, Mission, and Vision, is dedicated to uniting efforts to ensure all students are prepared for successful futures. This is achieved by developing essential foundational skills, fostering college and career readiness, cultivating global citizenship, and ensuring students are life-ready. The plan emphasizes a holistic approach to education, integrating Project Based Learning, STEAM, Career Technical Education, Entrepreneurship Education, and Liberal Arts, supported by strong partnerships and a continuous curriculum cycle focused on student growth and well-being.

The meeting included an oath of office, approval of the agenda and consent agenda items with some exclusions. The board discussed student recognitions, reports including the Superintendent's Update, policies, and trip requests. The board also approved a personnel addendum with resignations and employment. An executive session was held, followed by board member comments and adjournment.

The meeting included presentations on the Healthy Harrison Program and an update on the FBLA conference. The Superintendent provided updates including the release of the August 2025 newsletter, personnel updates, back-to-school events, the Elevate professional learning conference, and a meeting with 'Community Partners'. The board discussed a door replacement project and approved the Healthy Harrison MOU and the renewal of student organizations. They also approved a personnel addendum. An executive session was held.

The meeting included a Superintendent's update on preparations for the 2025-2026 School Year Opening Day Program. The board approved consent agenda items, including trip requests for DCMS and DCHS fall sports, board bills, a trip request for DCHS to Taylor County, WV, and the volunteer list. The board approved the personnel addendum, addressing employment and resignations for various teaching and athletic positions.
