The City Council conducted a study session regarding public works priorities for the 2027 budget cycle. During the regular meeting, the Council issued several proclamations, including those for Get Outdoors Month, support for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the designation of ANTIFA as a domestic terror organization. Key legislative actions included the adoption of multiple municipal code amendments, such as revisions to residential, commercial, and industrial zoning districts, animal control regulations, and public health and safety standards. Additionally, the Council awarded several bids for the 2026 Street Preservation Program and authorized the City Manager to sign an interlocal agreement with Clark County for prosecution services.

The plan envisions a vibrant, growing city offering an unsurpassed quality of life by embracing its history, traditions, and diversity. It emphasizes an exemplary education system, a dynamic and diversified economy, a flourishing artisan community in its downtown, and accessible community spaces. The plan also focuses on creating well-connected neighborhoods through a network of pedestrian walkways, bike trails, and public transit, aiming to foster identity, belonging, and well-being for all residents.

The Council meeting agenda included a study session regarding the storage of trailers and recreational vehicles in residential areas, a presentation of the Battle Ground Police Department annual report, and a presentation on the 2027-2032 Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program. A public hearing was scheduled to consider various municipal code amendments covering topics such as administrative terms, animal regulations, health and safety standards, street and sidewalk maintenance, and zoning. Additionally, the Council addressed the 2026 Street Preservation Program bid award and considered an amendment to the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for emergency medical services.
