HVAC Equipment Replacement Project. The overall Project consists of the replacement of heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment that is located in various areas of the Airport terminal building and the terminal access walkway. The DB Contractor general scope is anticipated to include the final design, procurement, and construction for the phased replacement of 3 large custom packaged DX air handling units (AHUs) that provide HVAC to the terminal building and 5 roof-top DX units (RTUs) that provide HVAC to the terminal access walkway. The AHUs are located on the terminal roof and service 129,000 SF of terminal space. The RTUs are located on the walkway roof and service 17,600 SF of terminal walkway space. The age of the existing equipment ranges between 23 and 28 years old. This Project will replace the equipment with new more energy efficient equipment. The Project may also include replacement of controls components for an upgrade/replacement of the existing building automation / management system (BAS/BMS) if funding permits. The DB contract will consist of base pricing for final design and certain equipment replacement items with a selection of optional additive-alternatives which may be partially selected at the time of contract award (FY-26) or added at a later time during the contract performance, if and when additional funding (FY-27) becomes available.
