WRA Joint Trunk – Phase 14, Segment 3

Description: The Des Moines Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation Authority seeks construction of sanitary sewer improvements along Walnut Creek from I-35/I-80 to 73rd Street in Clive, West Des Moines, and Windsor Heights. The work includes open-cut and trenchless installation of 60-inch and 66-inch sanitary sewer, manholes and special structures, bypass pumping, dewatering, storm sewer and water main replacement, paving, traffic and erosion control, flow-metering equipment with new electrical service, cleanup, and related work. This is a public construction procurement, not a grant program.

Main Village Trunk Sewer Line Improvements Phase 2 RFP
The Project includes Open trench installation approx. 5,000 LF of 8" gravity sewer line including new manholes, new terminal cleanouts, sewer services for approx. 42 existing residences or lots, abandonment of approx. 12 existing manholes, and connections to existing sewer lines. Jack and bore crossings of two irrigation canals and BIA Southern Pueblos Route 88 (SP 88)/ Tano Street with 8" carrier pipe. Approx. 150 LF of pipe bursting of an existing 8" vitrified clay pipe with 10" HDPE SDR 17 pipe. Two bid alternates, one substitutive for HDPE casing instead of steel and one additive to abandon in place an existing septic tank.
