Seeking to develop one or more nature-based, natural infrastructure projects to address chronic flooding. Natural infrastructure flood mitigation program (NIFMP) within DMS, incorporating flood storage capacity enhancement projects. The legislation also requires that pilot projects serve as the basis for expanding natural infrastructure flood mitigation projects to additional watersheds and scaling solutions to enhance community resiliency.
