VMC Small Animal Hospital

Description: The project will address the increase in annual patient capacity from 40,000 to 60,000. The project will expand WSVM's facilities and infrastructure to provide world class facilities for the education and training of future veterinary professionals in advanced specialty disciplines. The new facility will enable efficient diagnosis, coordinated treatment, and seamless continuity of care across multiple disciplines including internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, exotic animal medicine, dentistry, critical care, and diagnostic imaging. The project will include a welcoming central lobby that provides comfort and reassurance to clients during their most difficult moments, reflecting the hospital’s deep commitment to the human animal bond and its mission to advance the frontiers of veterinary medicine and education. The project will consist of up to five-stories providing approx 150,000 gross square feet (GSF) emphasizing efficient operational flow, durability, interconnectivity, wayfinding, and access to daylight. Clinical services will be located on the first two floors with administrative offices and conference rooms located on the floors above. A partial basement will house mechanical and plumbing systems.
