The existing fire alarm at the Architecture and Design Studio (ADS) building is non-compliant. In addition, this fire alarm system is no longer supported by the industry and presents a challenge in finding replacement parts. The project includes replacing the fire alarm system as well as removal of the old system. The existing building fire alarm system to remain in place and operational until the new system is fully installed, commissioned and accepted by the University. All existing architectural finishes impacted by the removal of the existing fire alarm equipment, devices, conduit, wiring, boxes, etc., shall be restored/repaired to match surrounding conditions.
