Description: The Young-June Kim Lab, a condensed matter physics group in the University of Toronto’s Department of Physics, intends to acquire a complete laboratory-scale Bridgman Crystal Growth System for research involving the growth and directional solidification of inorganic crystals, including halides and chalcogenides. The system is expected to support high-temperature vertical gradient/Bridgman processing in vacuum and inert gas environments and to include the furnace, growth/translation mechanism, work tube, controls, vacuum and gas-handling equipment, installation and commissioning, acceptance testing, training, warranty, and technical support. The formal RFP anticipates negotiation, with proposals submitted electronically through the specified Bonfire opportunity.
