Framework for Returning Distribution Systems To Service After Extreme Events (Request for Proposals)
Framework for returning distribution systems to service after extreme events. Project objectives: the purpose of this project is to provide guidance to help utilities safely restore drinking water distribution systems following extreme events. Restoration is defined as returning system functionality and water quality to conditions that allow the safe resumption of normal service and the lifting of public health advisories. Specific objectives are to: identify and categorize extreme events (e.g., flooding, wildfires, freezing events, storms, and other relevant events) that impact distribution systems and assess their implications for system performance and water quality. See attached file.
