Summary
The selected vendor shall provide preventative maintenance, calibration, inspection, cleaning, documentation, and on-call repair services for the weighing systems transfer station. The scale systems include one (1) primary truck platform scale, and four (4) axle scales located within the transfer station tunnel, as well as associated scale indicator panels, axle scale scoreboards, signal indicator lights used by drivers and equipment operators, and supporting electrical components necessary for scale operation and weight documentation. Services shall include routine monthly maintenance and calibration of the primary truck platform scale to ensure accurate operation. Axle scales shall be inspected during routine site visits and shall undergo full preventative maintenance, removal, and deep cleaning on a quarterly basis, including inspection of structural and mechanical components such as scale legs, mounting hardware, bolts, load cells, and associated electrical connections. Services shall also include preparation of detailed service documentation, including calibration results, load cell readings, inspection findings, and performance reports. The selected vendor shall also provide emergency repair services with rapid response times to address critical equipment failures and ensure the transfer station remains operational. Because the scales operate in a high-use solid waste processing environment where debris and material buildup are common, the vendor shall perform cleaning of the scale areas as necessary to safely access, inspect, and service the equipment.
