69kV The Site Substation - Washington Road 69kV Transmission Line - Steel Structures RFP
Provide substation steel structures for the piqua 69kv the site substation project.
Description: The basic system ratings for the substation shall be as follows: System High-Side Voltage 230,000 volts, three-phase wye, basic insulation level shall be 950 kV, 60 Hertz. System Low-Side Voltage All 69 kV wye, initial basic insulation level should be 350 kV, 60 Hertz operated at 69,000 volts. Transformer One (1) 230-66 kV, 120/160/200 MVA Autotransformer Primary Bus, Secondary Bus, and Strength requirements to match weight of Neutral Bus equipment, ice, and wind loadings. Outgoing 69 kV Circuits Overhead. 230 kV Circuit Breaker One (1) 245kV, 3000A, 50000A IC, 125V DC Control Power, Circuit Breaker Bus & Feeder Circuit Breakers Four (4) 72.5kV, 2000A, 40000A IC, 125V DC Control Power, Circuit Breaker. Protective Relaying Panels 125-volt DC and 120/240-volt AC single-phase.

This project involves the modernization and expansion of Owner’s transmission and sub-transmission infrastructure through the replacement 291 existing wood and steel poles with new steel poles and the installation of 9 new steel transmission poles along a new right-of-way. The replacement projects involve 69kV sub-transmission lines with 15kV underbuilt distribution circuits and associated attachments, including PWC-owned fiber. The new construction project includes a 230kV transmission line with poles up to 100 feet in height.
