Sinkhole Pressure Grouting - Scottys Way
Pressure or compaction grouting of a sinkhole in the right of way of scottys way. seeks proposals for mitigation of a sinkhole in the right-of-way of Scottys Way near 450 Scottys Way using compaction or pressure grouting. Due to the presence of several utility main lines, lift stations, an industrial roadway, and deep soils as identified in a geotechnical investigation, non-excavation methods are required. The sinkhole fallout is approx. 15' across and 6' to 10' deep, with a sanitary sewer main running through it; it is adjacent to two other sanitary sewer mains, and a lift station. The reports of a geophysical investigation of the area and a geotechnical investigation indicate soils 10' - 26' deep overlying karst-forming limestone units and an impacted zone approx. 20' to 30' in diameter. It is expected that the project will require treating an area up to 40' by 40', with soils up to 26' deep.
