Software License Renewal – First Databank, Inc.

Description: This is a single source posting notification; there are no solicitation documents for download. This is not a Request for Bid (RFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP). MNIT Services, on behalf of DHS, intends to enter into a renewal agreement with First Databank, Inc., for up to sixty (60) months. The agreement will allow DHS to have continued, uninterrupted access and use of First Databank, Inc., a Medicaid claims-processing software. DHS requires suppliers to provide drug pricing information according to state and federal law. Drug pricing data is required for adjudicating healthcare claims, reviewing prospective drug utilization, classifying drugs, making patient monographs available, and prescribing drugs electronically. DHS has determined the processing software offered by First Databank, Inc., is the only commercially available product that meets its needs. The State’s Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) is currently configured to accept data from First Databank, Inc. Other data aggregators are unable to provide the necessary MMIS and DUR modules use fields that are necessary to make the State’s MMIS functional. Furthermore, the processing software is only offered by First Databank, Inc., and is not available from a third party. For these reasons, this had been deemed a single source purchase.
