Rumpel Felt Partial Demolition

Description: The Region of Waterloo is seeking a contractor to protect and conserve the 1913 heritage-designated Rumpel Felt building, chimney, and 1942 staircase while demolishing the additions at 60 Victoria St. N, Kitchener. The work includes designated-substance and hazardous-material abatement, shoring and bracing, salvage and reuse of existing chimney brick, MEP and sprinkler modifications, utility disconnections, and new steel siding. The contractor must coordinate permits and provide the required plans, designs, inspections, testing, certifications, and reports in accordance with Metrolinx, the City of Kitchener, the Region of Waterloo, and utility providers.
