Description: Remove all existing roof mastic from vents and pipe penetrations, and clean surfaces as necessary. Patch all pipe penetrations and damaged roof areas with APOC 585 Armor Flex (or equal). White Silicone Mastic and Fabric (or equal) as necessary. Install APOC Silicone Coating System (or equal) over existing flat roof area per manufacturer's specifications. Conduct water testing to ensure all areas of the new roof coating are watertight. All materials will need to be approved with the department prior to the start of the project.

Remove the existing Built-Up Roofing (BUR) system and install a new 60-mil mechanically fastened Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) single-ply roofing system. The work shall include demolition of the existing roofing system, inspection and replacement of deteriorated roof sheathing as required, installation of DensDeck roof boards (or equal), installation of all associated flashings, edge metal, sealants, and accessories, and all work necessary to provide a complete, watertight roofing assembly.

Removal: Remove existing roofing down to decking. Remove mastic, flashings, coping, drip edges. Inspect all. Repairs: Repair any decking per building inspector recommendations. Clean and prepare surface. Scupper drain/pipe replacement: Inspect drain piping and replace, as necessary. Insulation: Install insulation, substrate and cover boards, vapor barrier, sheathing paper, per SBS system specifications. Roof Membrane: Apply 3-ply SBS roofing system with fiberglass reenforced cap sheet or equal. All submittals must be approved by the LACoFD Project Manager prior to the start of the project.
