The County of Fresno, on behalf of its County Administrative Office, is seeking proposals for alternate indigent defense and associated criminal investigation services for financially eligible people accused of crimes in Fresno County, including juvenile-court matters and other proceedings where court-appointed counsel is due. The solicitation covers matters referred when the Fresno County Public Defender has a conflict, with the alternate provider representing up to seven conflict indigent defendants in one case. The County intends to award one vendor, and proceedings take place at multiple locations in Fresno County.
