The scope of the rooftop unit (RTU) replacement shall generally include the removal of the existing RTU, installation of a Luxaire 40-ton split system unit, replacement of the coil and refrigerant, and the necessary connections and adjustments to ensure proper operation. Furthermore, the work may involve electrical and mechanical components such as modifications or installation of the curb adapter, electrical connections, mechanical connections, gas piping, controls integration, minor ductwork, testing and commissioning of the proposed RTUs, and other miscellaneous items listed in the RFP to complete the project.
