Professional Solid Waste Management Engineering Services RFP

Description: The purpose of this request for statement of qualifications (RSQ) is to select the most highly qualified firms to provide professional consulting services to provide solid waste engineering services. It is anticipated that multiple firms will be awarded a basic contract to provide the necessary services for a period of three (3) years exercisable at the option of the County. Two, one-year renewals may be allowable exercisable at the option of the County and as approved by Volusia County and mutually agreed upon. The County of Volusia is seeking the services of professional consultants to provide solid waste engineering services.  Professional consultants are to provide engineering services to include, but not be limited to, the following: solid waste planning, facility/landfill design, construction management/administration and CQA/CA services. Conceptual studies, feasibility studies, preliminary assessments, cost estimates, and administration assistance. Firms must demonstrate qualification and specific experience in the following listed areas: Contamination Evaluation; Solid Waste Landfill Design, Expansion, Permitting and Construction Management; Closure Design, Permitting and Construction Management; Development of Solid Waste Plans; Design, Permitting and Construction Management to Retro-fit Existing Facilities; Solid Waste Accounting Services; Design, Permitting and Construction of Recycling Facilities; Alternative Energy Facilities.
