Provide construction manager at risk (CMAR) services for the checked baggage inspection system (CBIS) modernization project. Project generally includes construction of a new CBIS/CBRA facility connected to the existing terminal, installation and integration of a modern baggage handling and screening system, related terminal modifications, demolition and removal of existing TSA screening pods and associated baggage handling equipment, utility relocations, site/civil improvements, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, technology, security, communications, controls, commissioning, testing, phasing, and other supporting work necessary to deliver a complete and operational CBIS facility

Inbound Baggage Carousel Replacement RFP
The Birmingham Airport Authority ("BAA" or "Authority") is soliciting bids from qualified contractors (each, a "Bidder") for the Baggage Handling System ("BHS") Inbound Replacement Project (the "Project") at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (the "Airport"). The goal of this request for bids ("RFB") is to enter into a construction contract (the "Agreement") with the Bidder who meets all minimum technical requirements to perform the Scope of Work and services described in this RFB (the "Services") and who provides the lowest cost summation of pay items in the Base Bid. Conference Date Date: 17 September 2026 at 14:00 GMT-5 A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for September 17th, 2026, at 2:00 PM (Central Time) in Meeting Room A, Lower Terminal Lobby of the Airport (south end near Entry Door 4L). Single use Parking Deck validations will be provided to attendees at the meeting. A site visit will be available immediately after pre-bid meeting. All attendees who plan to attend the meeting must RSVP to Jordan Howard at Jhoward@flybhm.com by close of business on September 13th, 2026. The pre-bid meeting will be the prospective Bidders' only opportunity to view the Project site prior to the Bid opening.
