On-Call Utility Permitting and Coordination Services for Capital Improvement Projects

Description: The City of Culver City (“City”) is seeking a qualified consultant to provide comprehensive third-party on-call coordination services in support of City capital improvement, transportation, utility, roadway, development, and infrastructure projects. The selected Consultant shall serve as an extension of City staff and shall proactively manage coordination with outside agencies, utility owners, property owners, regulatory agencies, railroads, adjacent jurisdictions, developers, and other third parties whose facilities, approvals, requirements, property interests, or operations may affect City projects, during the pre-design, design, construction and post-construction phases, as needed. The Consultant shall be responsible for identifying third-party requirements early, establishing and maintaining communication with affected entities, coordinating required reviews and approvals, monitoring commitments and schedules, identifying risks to project delivery, and driving issues to resolution. The intent of this contract is to provide the City with specialized third-party coordination resources that can assist in supporting the timely delivery of projects from planning and design through permitting, construction, system activation, and project closeout. However, proposers may not take advantage of omissions or oversights in this document. Proposers must supply products and services that meet or exceed the requirements of this RFP. In the event of a dispute over installation or performance, the needs of Culver City will govern.
