Metabolomic Analysis of the Effects of Phenylbutyrate (PB) in Patients with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, on behalf of the National Institutes of Health, issued a Special Notice seeking a non-competitive purchase order to Metabolon, Inc. for untargeted metabolomic profiling and bioinformatic analysis of samples from patients with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). The work covers 75 plasma samples from 30 ME/CFS patients collected before and after eight weeks of sodium phenylbutyrate treatment, plus 15 healthy controls, with three comparative analyses. Capability statements, proposals, or quotations must include specified pricing, delivery, registration, and business information and are due September 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
