In general, the work consists of:replacing the halon clean agent system in Library with a new preaction sprinkler system. The obsolete halon system serving the Special Collections Library will be replaced with zoned preaction systems released with aspirating smoke detection. Ceilings will be removed and restored to allow for demolition and installation of the fire suppression systems. New lighting will be provided where ceilings are replaced.
