Description: In general, the work consists of:replacing the halon clean agent system in Library with a new preaction sprinkler system. The obsolete halon system serving the Special Collections Library will be replaced with zoned preaction systems released with aspirating smoke detection. Ceilings will be removed and restored to allow for demolition and installation of the fire suppression systems. New lighting will be provided where ceilings are replaced.

In general, the work consists of: a comprehensive renovation of 356,335 GSF including a Phase 1 renovation of 70,090 GSF of space in select areas on the Basement, Ground, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Floors and a Phase 2 renovation of 286,245 GSF of space on the Basement, Ground, 1st , 2nd , 3rd , 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and Penthouse.
