McNeil Station Boiler Grates, Seals, and Expansion Joints Replacement (Request for Proposal)

Description: Work includes grate replacement, front/side/rear seal replacement, expansion joint replacement on 2 sides, and refractory repair as needed. Specification: mechanical - traveling grate system - replace 3,248 old grates with new grates provided by BED; grate seals - inspect side seals, rear seals, center seals, front seals. Repair/replace as needed. The side seals (east and west) include a shielding piece that is 14-gauge mild steel measuring 10 inches tall by 22 feet long. These pieces must be fabricated on site by splicing together multiple pieces of 10-inch by 10-foot 14-gauge sheet steel; bottom expansion joints - remove side expansion joints (east, west) and replace with new expansion joints provided by BED.
