Louisville Zoo KY Trails Phase 2 - External Bid Advertisement (Request for Information)
The project involves seventeen acres of undeveloped zoo property. Construction consists of several heavily themed buildings of different construction types including wood framing, steel framing, cast concrete and masonry. There are several fenced animal habitats with thematic rock work and an enclosed transfer system that connects habitat areas and animal holding buildings. Additionally, there will be a passenger train loop watercourse, bridges, pedestrian paths, service roads and other work indicated in the contract documents. Phase one: this phase consists of site preparation including tree clearing, rough grading, and alternates for underground utility work. This phase has been bid and awarded. Construction activities are proceeding. Phase two: this phase will consist of the remaining work.
