Hades and Docs Diversions - Power & Communications Project (Advertisement for Prequalification)

Description: The Project includes installation of new underground electrical power and communication conduits and conductors between the Hades Diversion and the inlet into the Strawberry Aqueduct System (SACS) and the Docs Diversion and its inlet into SACS, associated electrical infrastructure upgrades, along with river crossings at the Duchesne River and Hades Creek. The Project will replace aging electrical infrastructure and improve communications reliability at the Hades and Docs Diversions and along the associated feeder pipelines. Existing direct-buried conductors will be abandoned in place and upgraded with new power conductors installed in direct-buried conduit. A new fiber optic backbone will also be installed between the major facilities to replace the existing radio communication systems while providing spare capacity for future expansion. Existing power and radio communications will remain operational during construction until the new facilities have been commissioned. The Project includes new electrical distribution systems, power and fiber handholes, underground conduit, electrical equipment upgrades, and new power connections at structures and manholes throughout both pipeline corridors.
