Grosse Ile Toll Bridge Rehabilitation and Bridge Road Improvements (Request for Proposal)

Description: Work includes bridge structure: replacement of filled and open grid decks; replacement of stringers; installation of bottom lateral bracing on approach spans; replacement of bottom lateral bracing on swing span; replacement of all stringers; strengthening of all floorbeams on approach spans and most floorbeams on the swing span; replacement and strengthening of pivot pier supporting steel; replacement of 4 lower chord pins and eyebars and 2 upper chord pins on the swing span; replacement of bridge railing; installation of barrier gate supporting structure on the approach spans; repairs to approach span bearings; miscellaneous above-water concrete repairs to substructures; installation of articulating block slope protection at abutments.
