Professional Services - Financial Consultant
The City of Burlington seeks a multi-disciplined financial consulting firm with at least eight years’ experience in municipal auditing procedures, bond law, arbitrage, municipal budgeting, and purchasing; assigned personnel must have either five years as an appointed municipal auditor with CPA/RMA credentials or five years of CMFO experience. Services include posting receipts and disbursements, reconciling accounts and ledgers, completing monthly and year-end close work, and providing governing-body reports, accounting guidance, budget preparation and amendments, and capital-finance information. The consultant must also assist with tax filings and annual municipal reporting, train City finance staff, and prepare the annual financial statement, debt statement, and audit statements.
