Comprehensive Compensation Study and Comprehensive Structure Review
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
Fort Hays State University is soliciting proposals from qualified compensation consulting firms to conduct a comprehensive compensation study for approximately 250 in-scope positions. The purpose of the project is to evaluate the University's current compensation structure, assess external market competitiveness, review job classifications and pay ranges, evaluate employee placement within the structure, and provide practical recommendations that support equitable, competitive, sustainable, and administratively workable compensation practices. The selected consultant will work collaboratively with FHSU Human Resources, University leadership and other designated stakeholders. The engagement is expected to include a market analysis using credible employer-reported compensation survey data, review of job descriptions, development or refinement of the University's comprehensive structure, placement analysis for in-scope employee, financial impact modeling, recommendations regarding compensation administration, and communication of findings and recommendations. FHSU seeks a consultant capable of providing an objective, data-supported assessment that recognizes the University's operating environment and relevant labor markets. Proposals should describe the vendor's methodology, data source, project team, stakeholder engagement approach, project timeline, deliverables, and total cost.
