Description: The County of Suffolk is seeking proposals from qualified firms, developers, joint ventures, or partnerships to lease, develop, and/or otherwise utilize publicly owned properties located in the hamlet of Ronkonkoma, Town of Islip, adjacent to the south of the Ronkonkoma Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Station, to be known as the "Long Island Hub." Proposals must include job-generating, market-supported development (excluding housing) such as office, healthcare, life sciences, retail, food and beverage, hospitality, and industrial or manufacturing uses, along with public open space, community amenities, and strong connectivity to transit and MacArthur Airport. A non-mandatory proposer's conference is scheduled for July 16, 2026, with responses due by September 25, 2026.
