Crossing Students Safely in the Dallas-Fort Worth Region

Description: The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is requesting written proposals from qualified consultant firms to develop a regional plan for pedestrian-crossing safety at schools and the establishment of crossing guards in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The work includes stakeholder engagement, collection and analysis of school-zone pedestrian-crossing and infrastructure data, a regional crossing-guard placement decision-making process, and tools and recommendations for school-zone pedestrian safety.
