Concrete and Subgrade Removal, Restoration & Cleanout Cover Installation - RFQ

The solicitation requests quotes for concrete and subgrade removal, restoration, and cleanout cover installation at 1824 Williamson Rd., Roanoke, VA 24012. A non-mandatory onsite pre-quote meeting is scheduled for January 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM; quotes are due January 16, 2026. The procurement is for municipal site/infrastructure work (not a grant) and appears open as of 2025-12-24.

This project will consist of the removal and disposal of concrete and rock masonry portal sign bases in clear zones, the removal and disposal of existing wood portal signs, construction of new portal sign bases, and installation of government-furnished signs.

The Work to be performed is sediment removal and restoration of five stormwater ponds includes, but is not limited to: Mobilization of labor, equipment, materials, and temporary facilities; installation of safety measures, establishing limits of staging and construction, and protecting of all existing utilities, trees and structures as specified on the plans; traffic control at and around construction sites; installation of erosion control BMPs in accordance with project SWPPP; control of water and/or dewatering as necessary to perform the Work; pre-construction topographic survey of the five ponds performed by licensed surveyor; clearing, grubbing, and tree removal; removal of accumulated sediment/muck/vegetation from five stormwater ponds; hauling and disposal of sediment/muck/vegetation material to a Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) landfill that can accept non-hazardous contaminated sediment; Furnishing and placement of riprap at pond inlets, outlets, and overflow structures; performance of post-construction topographic survey of the five ponds; clean-up and restoration of all areas directly or indirectly disturbed by the Work to the pre-existing conditions or as specified on the plans; demobilization from the site after work is complete.

The ITB PW 2026 Concrete Restoration Contract 3 (Project No. 106668, Ref. #: 26-0075) was posted on Dec 17, 2025 and will close on Jan 15, 2026. The solicitation seeks contractors for approximately 11,260 SY of 9" concrete pavement, 9,472 SY of 6" concrete pavement, 4,100 CY of flex base, 18,250 SY of geogrid, and other related work.
