Compost Facility Odor reduction Improvements - Part 2

Description: The City of Columbus says the project will reduce emissions to the atmosphere while increasing facility capacity and flexibility within its biosolids beneficial-use program. It will expand processing capacity and leachate collection and upgrade the technology and techniques used for composting to improve control of odors emitted to the surrounding area. The listed work elements are one compost pad with blowers and aeration legs, four biofilters with blowers, headers, and new foul-air distribution piping, a new instrumentation, monitoring, and control system, improved leachate management, site layout and safety improvements, and new electrical distribution equipment.
