CODE ENFORCEMENT COUNSEL / COMMUNITY PROSECUTOR SERVICES

Description: The City of El Monte (“City”), on behalf of the Community & Economic Development Department, is hereby soliciting proposals from qualified law firms or attorneys to provide Code Enforcement Counsel and Community Prosecutor Services for the City of El Monte. The selected firm shall provide comprehensive legal services related to municipal code enforcement, nuisance abatement, receivership actions, administrative enforcement proceedings, illegal business enforcement, dangerous building enforcement and related civil litigation matters. The City is seeking a law firm with demonstrated experience representing California public agencies in municipal enforcement matters and developing proactive enforcement strategies to protect public health, safety, and welfare. This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) identifies the Scope of Services, Proposal Submission Requirements, Evaluation Criteria, and Terms and Conditions the City will use to select qualified legal counsel. This solicitation is for proposals only and is neither intended nor constructed as an offer to enter into a contract or engage in any formal competitive bidding process pursuant to any statute, ordinance, or regulation. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive irregularities, and cancel this solicitation at any time.
