The City Council conducted several closed session discussions regarding legal matters and anticipated litigation with no final action taken. The Council issued proclamations for Provider Appreciation Day and CalFresh Awareness Month. Financial actions included the authorization of claims and demands, an amendment to a professional services agreement for project management, and contract approvals for overhead street signs and electric vehicle charging stations. Public hearings were held to approve the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Annual Action Plan and to receive the local public employee vacancy report. Members also discussed community events, including the Night Market on Main Street, community safety meetings, and various park and district events.

The City Council held a concurrent special meeting involving several city authority bodies. The primary agenda item involved a strategic study session of the City Council, which resulted in a report being received and filed.

The Planning Commission meeting agenda includes a request for a time extension for a previously approved tentative parcel map and conditional use permit, which involve the subdivision of a lot and the construction of three detached single-family residential dwelling units. The agenda also provides for a Director's report, a City Attorney's report, and comments from the commissioners.

The Permit Committee convened to review various permit applications, including a new application for a mobile ice cream vendor, renewal applications for ambulance services and firework stands, and sidewalk vendor permit requests. The agenda also included continued applications for secondhand dealers, along with standard procedural items such as roll call, the flag salute, and opportunities for public comments on both agendized and non-agendized matters.

The agenda includes various administrative and operational items, such as the adoption of an interlocal cooperation agreement for a housing development, authorization to advertise for roof repairs at Lambert Park, and the acceptance of completed public works projects including curb address painting and roof replacement for the Transportation Cypress Facility. The council will consider increasing a purchase order for street painting materials, approving contracts for facility maintenance at Mountain View Park, and purchasing a new dump truck. Additionally, the council will address grant agreements for graffiti abatement and maintenance services, budget transfers for capital improvement projects, and a report on National Public Works Week.
