The City of Brantford is inviting respondents to qualify as general contractors for rehabilitation of the Lorne Bridge at the Colborne Street crossing of the Grand River. The scope also includes rehabilitation of the pedestrian tunnel immediately west of the bridge and retaining walls at the bridge’s east end. Prequalified contractors will later be invited to bid; the City anticipates issuing that solicitation in November 2026, with work scheduled to run from March through November 2027.
