Alternative Fuels & Feedstock Initiative to Add Value to Seed Oil Crops through Improved Preprocessing, Scalability, and Valorization of Product Streams

Description: Battelle Energy Alliance, the managing contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Idaho National Laboratory, seeks Expressions of Interest for research supporting seed oil crop efforts at the Biomass Feedstock National User Facility. The research is intended to improve post-harvest harvesting, storage, separations, and scalable fractionation and valorization of non-oil seed components, with projects led by U.S. universities in collaboration with INL. This Sources Sought notice anticipates funding up to two projects lasting 12 to 24 months, with selected responders potentially invited to a subsequent RFP process.
