Signal Infrastructure Phase E2
The Nebraska Department of Transportation is soliciting sealed bids for the City of Omaha’s Signal Infrastructure Phase E2 transportation construction project, which is a federal-aid construction procurement rather than a grant program. The work includes upgrading traffic signals and communications infrastructure, replacing 114 existing signals, installing fiber optic cable, conduit, detection systems, cameras, pull boxes, and related traffic-control improvements in Douglas County. Bids are due October 1, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., and the contract is expected to begin April 1, 2027, with a 153-calendar-day duration.
