OREM CITY WELL #1R DEVELOPMENT PROJECT RFP
This RFP is for the dual swab development and test pumping of Well #1R using a cable tool rig.
Description: The City of Orem seeks proposals to drill an exploratory pilot hole and ream it into a production well using reverse-rotary drilling. The well will serve Orem’s drinking-water system and is anticipated to have a 20-inch casing reaching approximately 800 feet. The anticipated water source is multiple Pleistocene alluvium aquifers.

To provide services for the installation of two (2) permanent water quality monitor wells. The site location is along Route 214 (Stoddards Wharf Road) in Ledyard CT. The service involves assisting City of Groton - Groton Utilities in establishing two (2) groundwater monitor wells at the location shown on the attached plans. Wells are expected to be installed by use of hollow stem augers, be 45 LF deep, unless shallower refusal is encountered, and constructed of 2" PVC casing and screen. Each well shall have a 10 ft. length of 2-inch PVC Schedule 40 screen with 2" PVC Schedule 40 riser pipe, media sand around the screen, a 2-foot bentonite seal, a steel protective casing set in concrete, and extending approx. 3 FT. to 4 FT. above ground level with a lockable cover.

Construct a new potable water well for municipal use that replaces an existing well to improve system reliability. The well will be constructed to obtain the greatest possible yield (approx 350 gpm) within the limits of well depth (approx. 600 LF) and 12" diameter The well will be drilled through unconsolidated and consolidated formations using rotary drilling methods. Well construction includes a surface seal, grouting, casing, well screen, development, disinfection, pumping tests, and site cleanup.
